PhD thesis in the laboratory of Dr Robert Verger from 1988 to 1992, on the biochemical properties and the physiological role of gastric lipase. Employee of the Jouveinalcompany at the same time Employed as a post-doc by the Novo Nordisk company at Copenhagen, Denmark from 1992 to 1994, to work on the structure-function relationships of pancreatic lipase in the group of Dr Lars Thim (Diabete care division, Protein chemistry). Permanent position at Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) since 1995. Head of the group Structure-function relationships of pancreatic lipases and related proteins at the Laboratory of Enzymatic Lipolysis of Marseille.Director of the Laboratory of Interfacial Enzymology and Physiology of Lipolysis (EIPL - CNRS UPR 9025 laboratory) since January 2004. EIPL projects mainly focus on lipases, a Marseille tradition initiated more than fifty years ago by Prof. Pierre Desnuelle and which became established by several of his collaborators, including Prof. Louis Sarda and Dr. Robert Verger. President of GERLI (groupe d’études et de recherches en lipidémique) since 2008.
