Dr. Anette Müllertz is associate professor and is heading Bioneer:FARMA, Danish Drug Development Center, at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences University of Copenhagen (FARMA). She received her PhD degree in lipid nutrition at the Technical University of Denmark in 1991. She spend 8 years as a research scientist at Novo Nordisk A/S, Denmark, working on the development of structured lipids, digestive lipases and digestion models, among other projects. In 1998 she joined the Royal Danish School of Pharmacy, Copenhagen, Denmark, as an associate professor. She is heading the research group for poorly soluble drugs at the Department of Pharmaceutics and Analytical Chemistry, at what is now FARMA. Her area of research is biopharmaceutics and oral delivery of poorly soluble drugs, including development of oral lipid based drug delivery systems, in vitro lipolysis models, simulated intestinal fluids, physiologically relevant absorption models and lymphatic transport. She has more than 45 papers in international referred journals, most of them published during the last 5 years, as well as 6 book chapters. She has been/are supervising 18 PhD students and numerous master students. She was the winner of the 2005 AAPS Lipid Based Drug Delivery Award.
